I changed my profile responses around a bit. Doing that never ceases to amuse me. But don't you think "Into" and "Makes Me Happy" are similar? Likewise, "Not Into" and "Makes Me Sad?" Oh well. I tried to respond accordingly, despite my conviction that it's all so monotonous.
I am tired of having this never ending cold and ovaries on top of that. And the people outside of my dorm are being loud... I can hear them through the Viva Hate.

A few weeks ago, I had a portraiture assignment, and I used Dan for my "personality portrait" subject. Because he has a nice personality. The photo set arrangement, including his attire (my favorite thrift store shirt) was all in good humor, and at first, he felt a bit silly sitting in the bubbly bath fully-clothed with a pair of aviators... but I think you can tell from the final candid shot that he enjoyed the experience. I did as well, that is until he blew his nose in his hands and attempted to smear the mucus on me and my camera.
And here I am. Refined. Poised. And believe it or not, this set of self-portraits was apart of the portraiture assignment as well. It looks fancy-pants, but the set-up for this was very crude. I placed my camera on top of some stable objects sitting on the window sill beside my bed, hooked my reversed bedspread (it's black on the reverse side) to the springs of the mattress above me (I have the bottom bunk), exposed for an area right beside the window, sat on my bed, set the self-timer, and posed.

There you have it. Absolutely no cropping or extensive editing involved in any of these photos. I am, indeed, learning. I suppose that's what college is for. Snip snap.
My body is not being very nice to me, as stated earlier in this blog. It could always be worse, though. My nose could be gushing blood. I could have an amputated right foot. My hair could be bleach blonde. I could have large breasts.
I've come to the conclusion that I really miss my parents. I often dream of them. Today, after my morning class, I took a nap in which I dreamt that they visited me at college and we all went out to lunch with my friend Jill. It was so happy and comical, and they were so delighted and so was I. And I got to have cake and pudding for lunch. When I went to my real lunch today, I had some pudding, but there wasn't any cake to be found, so I had a waffle with powdered sugar instead, but it wasn't the same. Also, while I had lunch with my friend Jill, I also ate with her older brother, and his friend Fred instead of eating with my very own Lon and Allison.
GUESS WHAT OH MY GOSH I AM SO EXCITED IT'S THE GREATEST THING EVER BAAAH! This weekend I am seeing a Jon Stewart performance in Columbus with Dan and Company. Additionally, on November 20th, I am seeing a Jim Gaffigan performance in Columbus with Dan and Company. My life is complete. Well, except for missing my parents. And my pets, who I didn't dream about, but I miss just as much. All of that, plus not having any cake at lunch.
It's almost three in the morning and that means Morrissey, Mr. Walkman, and I are retiring for the time being.
