I don't really have much to say today, so here are a couple of my poems from a long time ago.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
I stand in lights dawn, and call the darkness to arms,
knowing that the forces arrayed in languid pallor and shadow,
possess the greater number.
I stand in lights dawn, feeling the arms of the wind
and the sea; awake to glorys victory!
I stand in the fields, I stand in the grass and the wood.
I invoke the Names, I call forth the Powers,
to sunder the Earth and rend the mountains--
to bring it all crashing before the feet of the Gates of Man.
And start anew.
To know myself, to sing and to dance. To love!
To know Love, and to hear my name cast from Her lips,
is to be created anew;
and in that embrace as it were, galaxies born,
dust settled, rust stripped away,
Death seeks a darkened hole like a feral dog,
if only She would speak it.
You will find me in the wasteland no longer,
and no longer the wasteland in me;
Banished! By the lightness of my step the grass
springs to meet my toes--
paradise bound.
You will not find me on the lamp-lit Tuesday,
cradling the worn-out mask of the cynical pound.
The actors no longer seek to breathe their characters,
and disappear to the Higher Vaudeville,
and sell their masks to children.
--------------------------------------------
Toy Ship In A Bath Tub
(it approaches the drain)
Lovers
our heartmindcontrolalarmclocks
are set for the black heart of the milky way
Determined to plunge screaming
but not for pain nor fear of death
but rather the involuntary
sort
Roller coaster
Lovers
we are engaged
II. Romance Of The Captain
(he discovers buried treasure)
There are two conditions
light and the absence of light
all things contained therein
III. Priority Mail
(hearts of fire are extinguished)
Dissolved wholeheartedly in the wounded abyss
the infernal engine winding itself tighter
grinding on its own entrails achieves massive power
blasting forth lightblood
A message to the cosmos we will become
in our glorious flicker
we have found the one thing against which
mortals may charge
and not leave a stain to be viewed
but fuel to be reflected
The one place a man may touch
he does not defile with his mor(t)ality
but is drawn back beyond all rationalizations
his atoms stretched into fiery rapture
IV. Going To The Funeral
(no bodies to bury)
For Heaven's gate they touched the Face of God
which no mortal may dare
where no eagle presumes to belong
beyond mountain bosoms - glory reached out
(Interrupted)
