So... we have a new fert! She was my brother's, but he got evicted and had to move back in with mom, who won't let him keep her. She's SOOOOOOOOO sweet, so we're calling her "Dulcia", from the latin "dulcis" for "sweet, pleasant, agreeable". Licklicklick. Not even a hint of nippiness action. And she's a hooded sable, which is exactly what we were wanting to get if we got another one! I'm kind of upset at my brother because she's VERY skinny and her hair was greasy like she hadn't been bathed in six months. We gave her food and she ate non stop for 30 minutes -- which is a LOT for a fert. The good news is that her ears look really clean and her nails weren't *too* long. I don't know if she's litter trained yet. He didn't even have a cage for her. He just kept her in the bathroom at mom's, and let her roam free 24/7 at his house, apparently (unsupervised in an un-ferret-proofed house). :ggrrr:
Callidia is NOT happy about having to suddenly share her food and space, but we gave them both baths together and now they're both asleep in the cage. So I think they'll get used to each other eventually. Just a little territorial bitchiness. Callidia has been Queen Bitch and Sole Ruler of Her Majesty's Domain for almost a year now, so it's understandable.
Anyway, pictures!
