Even an Anglophile like me will never understand what the deal is with British people and Cliff Richard and Kate Bush. The latter's voice and vocal mannerisms are like nails on a chalkboard. The former is like the British Garth Brooks. Sold insane numbers of records and yet had absolutely zero lasting impact or influence and is now almost entirely glossed over and forgotten in the history of pop music.
