New Strokes album is pretty darn good. Some of it sounds like they've always sounded, like the first single.
And some of it takes some cues from, say, Vampire Weekend, and Julian's solo album.
The key difference seems to be less a since of detached, cool distance. They sound more open, like they're having fun, and not holding everyone at arm's length. I dunno, it's hard to explain.

i try not to turn it into a popularity contest, and truthfully enjoy reading the journals of my friends so i keep my friend count low. I got aggravated with random people just friend requesting me....so i shut them off.
