A very unusual start to the day for me.
Had a long day yesterday, attended the funeral of the elderly gentleman I was caring for.
very moving funeral and a really nice celebration of all his achievements.
I stayed very late, chatting to the family etc and eating too much....
It was a two hour drive home, through london and back up the freeway to hell.
well, as a say I had a short sleep, and early start, my sister had to go over to the hospital for some emergency X-rays, results back already and she has badly bruised ribs, but nothing else, ( painful enough but nothing broken )
then at about 08.00 the main street through the town was closed, after 3 lads driving way over the speed limit, decided to try and squeeze through the traffic, resulting in them hitting a parked car and rolling their car over several times. it caused a lot of chaos, but the three lads were shocked but unhurt.
then I popped into see Mr Ben for a germany update, and the high street was closed, a large warehouse / yard type of place caught fire, and everyone in the vicinity had to be evacuated!! Cool, no injuries, but the coolest thing was that everyone living in the area had to take themselves and theirs pets to the local sports centre, so there were cats, rabbits, dogs and all sorts, joining the fitness fanatics for the day!!!!
and last of all, a small plane crashed near haverhill, a private plane, with no deaths.
So all in all a very exciting day,
I mean for a small village/town, not much happens for centuries, and then all of a sudden, it happens all at once.
I suppose it's a good thing, it does give the journalists some work to do in the town...
I have rambled on long enough.
fingers crossed that the rest of the week goes ok.
Hope everyone else is well and enjoying this lovely tuesday evening / afternoon / morning etc etc
Take care
