Hey y'all!
I have just been to see those fine Oklahoma boys, the goddamn Flaming Lips and they were soooooo good! Wayne Coyne was on good form, and all the bunnies and everything were perfect. I had a big grin from beginning to end, which is quite a feat for me, honestly.
If you don't go see the Flaming Lips, you are a miserable crazy person. Or poor.
I wanna do it all over again!
Oh. They did a little tribute to Elliot Smith (see last entry), which was really nice. Wayne says, 'So, some of you may know Elliot Smith...' and, totally involuntarily I went 'WAAAAARRRRGH!' Heh. Apparently, Steve Drozd and the Flaming Lips' sound engineer played/produced a lot of stuff on what ES was working on, so I suppose it was kind of shocking to him.
They finished off with a lovely version of White Christmas with Wayne singing through the megaphone while Michael threw spacedust on him while standing on a chair.
w00p! w00p! w00p!
T-shirt purchased in my pics!
