Please see bottom of blog to give me some advice/suggestions for my wedding invites.
I've decided to start using the camera on my phone to keep me actively taking pictures of at least something. I greatly miss photo journalism and keeping track of things through photography. I know my camera on my phone isn't the greatest- but at least it is a form of communication for me. Instead of just writing the boring blogs.
Also I'm saving up for new camera equipment, so once I have that you guys will get to see more stuff. I've got the wedding I am shooting coming up on June 9. I am more than stoked. And maybe I will post some pics of it to share. Its a same sex wedding so it will be something very different and fun to shoot.
My goal this year is to get a "website" set up. I put quotes because it is really just going to be an online portfolio- it will not be used to advertise myself as I feel like I still have a lot of growing as a photographer to do. I almost wish I could tag a long with someone and learn some techniques from them. I miss being in those environments. To build ideas off of, to stimulate me and get me pumped artistically. Thats what stinks about not being in a studio anymore- I don't have my geeky photographer friends to hang out with anymore. Just retail nuts that only care about "numbers."
My father came to visit today and we worked a bit on my car.

I'm designing our wedding save the dates and invites. We like human anatomy (and we are also kind of morbid) So I've made this in PS and I can't decided what I want to do. I'm hitting a wall. I really like the idea of using veins and hearts to connect (I had this idea and Mike mentioned sappy crap about family trees coming together and blah blah blah.) So what better to represent that than blood, hearts, and veins (or these things together to look like a tree??) I'm not sure if it makes sense to anyone else. But now I have this idea in my head and now I am trying to create something for it. At this point I am open to suggestions. My wedding colors are Dark Green & Creme.
---edited to say, yes I just noticed the 2nd comma after Lake in the 2nd invite. Fail. This will be fixed before a final design is chosen hahaha

i love the blues and reds of the background in the viens on the 2nd one but i like the format of the first..like make the first one in color in the background instead?..i like the first one's font but the backgrounds to light for the bottom white font imo.....we needa hang out soon!...before i disappear in diapers soon! lol
