Thought I should update the old blog a bit. If anyone would like to take a look at Malta take a look here. Funny how looking back on the pictures makes the whole trip look more fun than it probably was. The blond girl is my baby sister, if you're wondering, and the witty captions are courtsey of the girl herself. They make me giggle.
Biggest thing that's happening in my life right now is that I'm going to make a serious attempt to loose some weight. There's no hiding it in some of those pictures, the one outside the tattoo parlor makes me look kinda massive, which I kinda am.
I was at my doctor for the first time in about four years last week. Thankfully, I'm mostly pretty healthy. Two years off cigarettes, I don't drink much, don't take drugs and I eat a vegatarian diet. Most things are pretty OK, BP a shade high but not any danger. Can't say I wasn't scared though. I knew my weight was getting out of hand. I've never been good at exercising. Anyhow, he told me to set a very modest weight loss target of no more than 1-2lbs a week and map out how long it would take to get to a reasonable weight. At 2lbs a week I can reach 12st by November. Anyone nosy enough can now work out how big I am at present!
Wish me luck. I'm a week in tomorrow and currently ahead of plan but that's to be expected. The first few pounds fall off easily. But this is not a diet, it's a life change and I feel its' going to work. Fingers crossed.
