Dammit, just wrote a whole blog post as a comment bu (an) accident and then deleted it, thinking I'd copied it which I hadn't...
This is not the blog that was, this is a tribute (a-la-Tenacious-D)...
SOooo... where was I... oh yeah, I was away from the site all week. We finally got an "internet policy" at work and I can't pretend now that I didn't know it was wrong to be looking at boobies and whatnot on the companies euro. Boo. In fairness, I never thought that I'd have got away with it really but now they're talking of monitoring and I've got to break the habit. I'm a good worker, honest, but I tend to work in frenetic bursts interspersed with short down-times where I'll surf for three or four minutes and then on again. Works for me... It's a hard habit to break, cutting down and staying away from here.
On a positive note on the job front, I had my review and salary appraisal and I'm a decent bit better off each month as a result, which isn't bad. Not enough for a pizza restaurant but maybe enough to start seriously thinking about a new car. I, we in fact, have serious crushes on the new Honda Civic. I think it looks very sci-fi. We shall see. I'm terribly fond of our currrent car, a Toyota Yaris called Eliza, which was my first car and the one I learned to drive on. I went on the road into rush hour traffic after five lessons. Eliza and I took care of each other and I don't like to talk about replacing her in front of her (don't laugh
). Still, that's one sexy Honda...
My baby-sister is gone to Malta for the college year on exchange. So far, major culture shock, but I'm sure she'll settle. I love her, even though I'm the eldest and she's the youngest (16 years between us), we're the most alike now that she's an adult too. I just get an amazing kick to see her all grown up and being smart and funny and beautiful. Anyhow, we're going to go visit in April. Ryanair have some good deals. I'm excited, it looks really beautiful and we've never been on a "sun" holiday. My girl's never been further than France and she's really got the travel bug, I think she's going to love it.
PS: Ya all rock, thanks for all the comments
