So the iPad, like it or hate it, it's out there.
What I don't understand is some of the arguments for hating it. I keep reading peoples opinion of it (usually people who haven't touched one), saying things like you can't open it, and it's going to destroy creativity.
What I don't understand is why do people think this.
The iPad i a satellite device designed to consume content easily and allow the beginning of it's creation. You take it with you with Omnigraff and Sketchpad pro to show a client something and make changes for them on the spot in rough form and then take it back to your "mother" computer and finish the job. Or you start typing away your notes at the library with out a full size laptop with you...
The device isn't a replacement for, but a addition to a home computer. It allows you to care one light device with you while you are out and about, to read, watch, and play. It does exactly what I bought my netbook, to access content while I am not at home in a small form factor. Check/send Mail, surf the net, watch or rent from iTunes, chat with friends.
The lack of flash means that the internet may switch over to HTML5 a little faster and not take over my good damn RAM every time I load a website, or take over my entire fraking screen.
I'm not saying the iPad is great, I don't know I haven't used it yet. But what I'm saying is that it's not the Apple ][, it's not designed to be taken apart and put together again. And really why would you want to, I can do that with my PC when I have the time and space too. I don't want to be taking apart my iPad and accidentally shock it and then have to replace everything.
