since its been so trendy with the activist/P.C./whatever crowd in the last couple of years to criticize SUV owners for their careless and impudent exploitation of a dwindeling natural resource for their own selfish status-based motives, it was only a matter of time before the snooty intellectual devils-advocate-types, who always have to make themselves noticed by arguing against established opinion, popped up to defend SUV owners and their rights to spend their money how they wish or express themselves materialistically without being looked down upon by a self-appointed social elite..
(you like my attempt at a run-on sentence?? )
Well, even if not all SUV drivers are evil, I still find it exceedingly hilarious what a fortune they now find themselves paying for gasoline, just for their need to lay rank amongst their yuppie colleagues!
My mormon aunt just bought an SUV, which she has absolutely NO need for, and when asked why: "I can't be looked down upon by all the other drivers on the road! Some of them go to my church!", as if it were a perfectly logical explanation and we're completely ridiculous for even having to ask...
Financial Karma!! Even owning a car, I fully support this ridiculous inflation in gas prices!
