"About The Job"
okay, so i got the real deal on the job. it's not 150 a day, it's a little over 150 a week. you can get tipped up the ass, but everyone pools the tips so it goes way way down. i'm not too happy about that. plus, turns out that all the folks that have been there since the place opened, don't have health insurance *or* a raise as of yet. so this guy, the owner, was shamming me on to flirt with me and get me hired. i might be a pretty face, but i'm not *that* fucking stupid!!!!
******
the coffee chain finally called me, and the recruiter will be setting up an interview with me shortly i have been told. after long deliberation, i have decided to go back to retail and go to school in about a year to a year and a half from now for lvn training. why i'm putting it off so long, is explained by this. because i haven't had steady work now for about 2 years, i have some bills that i need to settle, plus fix my car, go to the dentist, blah blah blah, and this is going to cost me some money. so i have decided, against my best interests or pure and simple *joy* in life, to take a position in retail as an assistant versus store manager, work my 40 hours a week, and save for lvn school as i am settling my other debts. if lvn school is too demanding, then i will take a night waitressing job 3/4 time, so that i can go to school during the day and still make a living. there is usually a waiting list around here for nursing schools up to three years, so me getting on the list now and going in a couple of years does not upset me. i *will* stay at this cafe until i get a job back in retail. once i am established as an lvn, i will start saving for the lvn to rn schools, and do this all over again.
that's all she wrote; gotta go jam and run off to the shower to get ready to go out to dinner tonight. this bday has been expensive and taxing on my savings. thank god i get paid on monday!!
