I have a lamppost lying in my hall and I don't quite know what to do with it. I found it a couple of nights ago. Someone had pulled it up with its roots (cement) and I felt sorry for it. The plan was to plant it on my balcony and rehabilitate the poor thing into society with some tender loving care.
The friend who helped me carry it home now claims he wants joint custody. I'm not sure that Poley (that's what I call it) would handle the constant change of environment, and honestly, I don't feel like carrying it across town to my friends house every other week.
I wish my friend could just come visit Poley on the balcony instead. I think it's us, the grown ups, that need to take responsibility and make sure we do what's best for our lampposts.

Another isssue with Poley is that it hasn't really got a lamp. I'm afraid it might be teased by the other lampposts if I put it out there with them without a guardian to watch out for it. I have a feeling it is very shy and might easily get hurt emotionally.

Anyone else who have had a lamppost? Do you have any tips on how to deal with them?
I have tried to google it, but nothing much comes up. I know it's somehow irresponsible to take home a creature that I don't quite know how to take care of, but I couldn't just leave it there, right?

I can't say that I've ever had a lamp post before! I hope Poley adjusts to it's new living situation, I'm sure it's in good hands!
By the way, your set was beautiful. I loved the natural simplicity of it!
