You know what I love? Lolita. I started reading it on the train and I'm almost finished.
It reminds me of this other book I read this summer that is probably my favourite book ever. But I can't tell you what it is, because it's too good and I think only certain people can appreciate it. But it's sort of like Lolita.
All the men I have had sex with (lately) have been at least 10 years older than me. And I like it that way. I do believe men get finer with age. And when they're 33-45 oh hell 50, they are just wonderful.
Sometimes I wonder why it is that I don't find men my age attractive. I have many theories on why this is. Which I will not share at this time. But I can say that the main thing that is important in a man, is his intelligence. I don't care if you look like fucking, ian mckellen, i'll totally love you if you are smart and witty and articulate and always wanting to learn.
I'd just like to say that this journal I keep here at SG is the most random, incoherant piece of shit ever. I kinda like it.
Anyway, Lolita. I have serious problems, because as I was reading it on the train I was getting all excited and was like, whoa, be still my beating heart, it's just a book. But that was like when I read Lord of the Flies and I was sitting on the edge of my seat and at the end when the savages are chasing Ralph and he's hiding and he thinks they can hear his heartbeat - I am convinced that the other people on the train could hear my heart beat. Sometimes, I get a bit carried away with things.
I also read Rape: A Love Story by Joyce Carol Oates yesterday. I liked it, it was strange, and not as good as Foxfire say, but it was alright. Joyce Carol Oates came to my school last Monday to speak, but alas, I am not at school and therefore could not attend.
I also bought Sputnik Sweetheart by Haruki Murakami. That was an on-a-whim purchase, as was Rape, so I'll read it and see how it turns out. I think there's some other Murakami book that's supposed to be really good, The Wind Up Bird Chronicle - but it had a lot of pages, and I was already buying two other books.
This is too long, it was too long 10 minutes ago.
