OH BABY! Yep, it's almost time! So place your bets now! How much do you think she'll weigh and when do you think she'll get here? She due the 21st, hasn't "dropped" yet, but has slowed down her movements a lot.
Our nursery: after much drama involving paint is almost done. I wanted this light pastel-ish purple/lavender, bought the paint, started putting it up and it was PINK, like Peptobismol PINK so we went and got a bunch of small bottles of different purples. I picked what I wanted and when the whole room was done in it it looked very grape purple, not light and certainly not pastel but I couldn't tell hubby I didn't like it, it has totally grown on me and w/ the accent colors I think it's about perfect. So we tried the green we originally bought for accent (pretty pastel-ish sage-y green) and it looked yellow and gross ~luckily we tried all this on a scrap of drywall so we didn't have to worry if we didn't like it~ so I said we should try the pinky-purple and that beside the green made it all beautiful. So the trim (ceiling and baseboards) is green and the stenciling will be pinkish. The floors are down ~Armstrong roll stuff that looks like wood but cheaper and softer~ and today the crib and dresser/changing table get delivered and built
Late this afternoon I have an ultrasound to see about how big she is now. Dr. thinks she's a looonnnnngggg skinny baby, we'll see if she's right.
New Years Day I played w/ bitchy-sis-in-law's baby. I didn't want to fall in love w/ him but jeez, somebody needs to love that baby. At 10 days old they scoop him up by his clothes or blanket, no supporting his body and head!
And it's not *his* fault his parents are the way they are. I just love him, end of story. I have pics but am too lazy to put them up right now so maybe next time.
I'm still working full time but they put me on front desk
I HATE HATE HATE front desk. I would much rather deal w/ animals than people.
AND I'm getting sooooo very tired of strangers asking me "when are you due?" (that's not the part that bothers me) I answer "2 weeks" they see I'm in scrubs and say "and you're still working?" (that's the part that pisses me off) YES I'm still working!! Why wouldn't I be? I'm going to do as much as I can for as long as I can! WTF? You don't even know me, how is it your business in the first place!?! Do you want to know what I eat too?
Speaking of food, I really miss being able to eat meals. Now there's just not room for much food in there.
Sis-in-law made a comment about losing 40 lbs before she left the hospital, then she asked me how much I have gained w/ my pregnancy and I answered honestly "20 lbs" WOW that got me some dirty looks! Especially since she's *still* bigger than I am and her baby is out.
(I think that's called karma)
That's all I have time for!
