Well, even though I absolutely loved my last post and the comments my wonderful friends left me I need to put up a new post before the end of '07.
First here's the new stuff...I ended up at the hospital because my ankles and feet swelled so badly so quickly. Dr. was worried it could be pre-eclampsia but it wasn't. Baby turned the way she should and put pressure someplace that caused the swelling. Everything is absolutely perfect with the baby. I'm due in 3 weeks! and if she comes when we're all hoping I only have 2 weeks because that would be my step-mom's birthday.
Bitchy Sis-in-law had her baby the Friday before Christmas via c-section. I'll post pics later.
Christmas Eve was at my brothers w/ that part of the family, it was hard w/out the step-mom but we survived it together. Christmas day was all over the place with lots of family. Here's a few pics from Christmas Eve.
2007 in review
2007 was not kind to us. First my fennec fox (Taco) died, then we found out bitchy sis-in-law was pregnant (and we weren't), then we spent all that time in the hospital w/ step-mom before she died. Then Hubby's grandma died and the day we flew home Kat's hubby was in a freak accident and passed away. Then just recently I had 2 friends get into motorcycle accidents (on the same day) and both are now paralyzed from the waist down.
But between my step-mom and his grandma we found out I was pregnant and that has been my saving grace this year. It forced me to take care of myself even when I didn't feel like it. It has made me appreciate my husband more and has changed my entire outlook on life.
Even with all our difficulties, trauma and drama I've enjoyed being pregnant. I'm a bit worried that I'll miss feeling her dance around in there after she's born.
I've made new friends. Both in real life and online. People that I can't imagine my life without. I've learned to enjoy the company of other people and I'm more comfortable in my own skin than I think I've ever been (fat ankles and all).
So I guess that's about it for 2007 and it's more than enough for me. I'll see you all in '08!
