Time for a new entry. What's new with me??? I had a great week!!

I found out that I will get paid while on maternity leave because I joined the "sick bank" even though the old rules said no. Appearantly they won't pay you for taking time off to spend w/ the baby but they cover the time needed to recover from giving birth, whatever, point is I get paid so that's a HUGE weight off my shoulders.

Then I talked to my boss and found out I'm in the running for a promotion (when the position opens) I wasn't sure I wanted the job but she's confident I can handle it and so is a co-worker that I really respect. Then that co-worker told me AND the boss that she thinks I'm the best candidate for the job! We'll see, it will mostly depend on when the position opens in relation to the baby, hopefully it will open right after I come back from leave, then I can get certified and slide right in.

I figured out where I want to have my baby shower...I know I'm not supposed to plan it myself but Kiley is in SC which makes it difficult so I'm helping, back off ! Anywhoo, it's an old American Legion Hall, knotty pine walls, old building, full kitchen, cheap, pretty, perfect size, cheap, just plain perfect!

I was going to weed out some of my groups but as always as soon as I start it's...but I like that group!...I like to lurk there occasionally!...I might talk to them someday! Oh-well, we'll see how far I get on all that.

I know there was more but I can't think of it right now.

Today we start registering for baby stuff, I was going to do this w/ a preggo friend but last weekend I discovered she's not much fun to shop with, then the hubby spoke up and said he wants to go w/ me (so he can play w/ the scanner gun thing) so when he gets off work that's what we'll be doing. Then tomorrow we'll go to the big stores that we can't afford and register to get free stuff but not tell our friends and family that we registered there.

Last night we started re-arranging the guest room so once I finish in there (hopefully today) we'll be able to move the big furniture out of the nursery! That much closer to ready for baby!!! Still a long way to go.

I've had some songs stuck in my head lately, if I stop feeling lazy I might look up the lyrics and post them. We'll see.
