About the last post...Thanks for the hug Olaf, thanks for the support Tim, and a huge thanks to Ta2dMom for your reaction, it showed me that I wasn't just being a psycho bitch. On my hubby's end there was a reasonable explanation for him leaning (which made me feel shitty for doubting him ~ he was trying to get my water bottle that was stuck between her seat and the console before it leaked and made a mess) and as for the jumping back that he did twice both of those were when her hand wandered upward from his knee and he was moving her hand back toward his knee. In retrospect I can see the roadblocks he was putting in her way and it just makes me more mad at her. But I'm past the emo crap, I'm good with him, and not sure about her, she still doesn't think she did anything wrong so I certainly don't trust her and that's not the kind of friendship I need. We'll see what happens this weekend, if we hang out.
Now for The Incredible Adventures of the Animal Shelter Kennel Wench
Monday was pretty normal. Tuesday I got to do something new I started prepping animals for our first surgery day. Wednesday was our first surgery day, so I was with the vet doing spays and neuters all day. Thursday I was in recovery with the animals that hadn't gone home yet and at the front desk (wow that's a lot of paperwork to keep straight!). Friday half the people called in, but even so we had the morning cleaning done in no time and we pretty much took it easy, boss bought us lunch, all was good. I haven't even been there a month and am considering adopting. There's a 3 year old boxer mix neutered male with the coolest personality that I don't want to be put to sleep so if it comes down to it I'll probably take him, even though I promised John I wouldn't bring any home Being back in surgery was like going home, and I'm doing microscope work again too. Last week John was asking me if I would miss the medicine aspect since I'm not in a vet office, but now we're doing all the same stuff! Vaccines, spays, neuters, skin scrapes, ear swabs, fecal floats, heart worm tests, FelV/FIV tests. I'm even teaching a few of the other workers how to run tests and pull blood (we've been using my boxer mix for blood pulls since he's so well behaved and his veins are like hose pipes.) Nobody else will pull from cats or jugulars yet but that's fine, they're not ready for that. I feel like I"m me again. I'm where I'm supposed to be, doing what I'm meant to do.
We were going to do surgery on a friend's tiger today but they listened to me and sedated him and took him for x-rays and bloodwork yesterday and he can be fixed without surgery, just big antibiotics and lots of TLC so he's on his way up here for the weekend since Karrie (his owner/human mommy) is a nervous wreck about giving him fluids and such. But hey, I get to hang out with friends, take care of a cat I love, and I get paid for it. She's also bringing her fennec fox pup so that he can meet my fennec. Lets just hope they get along because we are hoping to breed them in about a year
Hope you all have a great weekend!
Edited to add...
I just found a pic of Karrie with one of her other babies. This is Aries, hopefully he'll be making babies soon too because I get the first female cub !!!!!

Good that you talked to your husband and cleared things up.
Yes, I stole that song from Buffy. Maybe someone will write a tortured blonde guy in. We'll see.
