Lots of nonsense.

Exercise
First of all if you didn't read my last blog this won't make much sense so...click here for that. So Friday was our big ball work out and my friends (who were obviously feeling suicidal) decided that since we stepped up everything else we should step that up too. But they were hurting more than me so the only did it half-assed! Since I never have time to exercise on Saturdays I got up entirely too early this morning (for other reasons) and decided that since I'm out I should swing by the gym for the 7 am spinning class, the teacher was late so I hit the weight machines for 30 minutes until she got there and now I'm positive I'm going to die. On top of that I added some of the new pilates stuff to my morning routine. If you have a minute please try this stuff and let me know if I'm really that weak or if it's hard for everybody. Except you Ta2dMom, I don't mind if others feel my pain but you already feel more than you should.

The hundred
Lie flat on your back, stretch your legs & point your toes, shoulders down and back, long neck. Lift your legs (Okay to bend at the knees), pick your head and arms up, arms parallel to the ground. Paddle arms up and down, keeping fingers pointed, arms straight, head & legs up, knees together, inhale for 5 paddles, exhale for 5, inhale for 5, exhale for 5, untill you've paddled 100 times (thus the name). This doesn't kill me anymore unless I over do it the night before.
Leg lifts
regular
Turn on your side, keep hips straight up & down (imagine a bar running through them and into the floor) you don't want them to rock or sway, it's all about control, bring your feet slightly in front of you. Lift top leg as high as you can without rocking your hips (I finally broke 90 degrees! biggrin ) then press the leg back down. I can do about 30 of these before it really hurts.

This is kinda hard to explain. Trace a line up the inside of the bottom leg with the big toe of the top one (knee bends and goes up) as far as you can without rocking hips, bring the knee towards your ear (no hip rocking), extend the leg - foot toward the ceiling, press down. (15 of these and my ass cramps)

Do the modified in reverse. Lift top leg, knee to ear, draw line down, repeat (again 15 of these and my ass is REALLY cramping).
Leg lowers
Lie flat on your back, stretch your legs & point your toes, shoulders down and back, long neck. Lift your legs (Okay to bend at the knees), pick your head up, knees together, arms on the floor at your sides. Slowly lower your legs, do not let feet touch floor, when back starts arching up stop, raise legs back up. Repeat. This one kills me!



Saturday
So after working until 5:30, I ran home grabbed the big dinner that I put together Friday night and Sat. morning and a friend picked me up to take me to the races. This is the Saturday tradition, either racing or dancing. We have 2 friends that race (dirt track) Rusty races pure stock (street car w/ roll bar), Rob races late models (big engine, lots of power). I take dinner for both groups and they pay for me to get in, plus I save money and my stomach by not eating track food. Last night was Caesar salad, In a Pinch Lasagna, Garlic Bread, and Banana Pudding, YUM! I met my hubby at the track (he's Rob's crew chief) we all ate dinner (Except Rob, he won't eat before he races, he gets too nervous and will puke ). There was an extra class of cars running so it took longer than usual. Rusty started in the middle of his feature race, worked his way up to third, got spun, had to restart at the back, and finished 9th. Rob started 8th of 16 cars, fought his way up to 2nd, got knocked back to 4th (where he usually finishes since he's about 100 horsepower under what the others are running but he's a better driver), and finished 3rd. Since I bring dinner and I'm the only girl who will help on the car I got $100 of his winnings smile Just one more perk of being a country girl who grew up as a tom-boy, I have the skinniest hands and I'm not afraid to get them dirty by sticking them up in the engine when the guys can't reach, having double jointed fingers helps too blush although it is hell on my nails.

Today
Since John rode home w/ me & Munchie (friend) last night I had to get up and take him to Rob's to ride to work, since his truck was still there. We didn't get home until 1 am I had to have him at Rob's at 5:45 am. I don't do well without sleep, explains all the rambling. I went to breakfast, then to the gym. I'm going to bed early tonight, this crap makes me feel old.

I think that's about it. I start my new job a week from tomorrow. I'm sooooo excited and nervous!
