Deleted my blog for some reason! lol
ANYWAYS! lets try again!
Had opening night on Saturday! It was GREAT! Everything went according to plan, just (in my humble opinion) the conductor does not feel the Puccini opera. Most operas you can count away, and still do a good job of it, but, Puccini is a feeling, and he just doesn't get the flow of it. But the show must go on, as the saying goes.
On to the singing. I felt a bit tired after a whole week of rehearsals and then only one day off before opening, for some reason it never feels like enough time. I had to work a bit harder at the end of the love-duet to keep up a good sound, (HA to try and match the amazing soprano) Good thing im now on day 2 of 3 days off!!!
YEAH!
Her (the soprano) name is Amanda Echalas... She's a great singer, actor and she's got LOADS of energy that everyone steals from in abundance. She just brings the whole show to a new level! 10/10!!
LOOOORVES to everyone!
