Why do people want to have children?
I know this sounds like a very strange question to be asking, but I'm honestly curious. What drives someone to have children? Is it the fact that the child would be carrying on the family name and/or legacy? Is it because people think they could do a better job at raising someone than their own parents? Is it because some people have nothing better to do and figure it'll occupy their time? What is it?
I don't understand it. I don't know if I will have kids. I've seen other people's children and want to strangle them. I've seen other people's children and wanted to steal them (asian babies are soooo cute). But in the end, I think I'd return it fairly quickly. I don't have the patience, or the willingness to sacrifice sleep or my personal time. I'm extremely selfish. Is that why people chose not to have kids? Are they all selfish like me? Do people have children as a form of personal training in patience? Is it just a giant exam?
Please inform me.
Thanks.

and when they get to the age of 5-9...i wanna smack them all and throw them in a cooler w weights into a lake
but i had ringo per chance
and it changed my perception
sometimes he says things and is like...wtf
but you need to also look at what the child provides you
though you may be thinking more on a physical and monetary level
what a child provides, mentally....it's the most amazing thing ever
and no one can take that away
other than oneself, of course
