Wow. Just took a look at the Hopeless Romantics group... and I'm honestly saddened. Everyone seems to view love so conventionally and materialistically, and I have never been one to look at such a huge concept with such a narrow mind.
I just don't understand. My understanding of love does not limit itself to human beings, but continues to flourish in all sorts of animals. Crows mate for life. Wolves mate for life. But the best instance of love in animals is the Black Vulture. Wolves and crows pair off with one for the remainder of their life, but infidelity is common simply for the base purpose of procreation. However, with Black Vultures, they will attack any other vulture that is caught "cheating" on their mate.
Love to me isn't just rainbows and sunshine and marshmallows. It's pain and suffering and tears and yelling. And any human being who thinks that if they find their soul mate, that they'll never argue, is fucking fool. Now don't get me wrong, I do believe in soul mates and twin flames and all of that, but I'll never expect perfection. Perfection does not exist, except maybe in the great white shark, but even they have weaknesses.
If I could describe love in one simple photo, this would be the one I would choose:

This image, knowing the love within the story, makes me tear up.
I may be overbearing, but I am not wrong.

satire_:
Perfection in love would be utterly boring as well, don't you think?
