so, a few months ago, i decided i wanted another project, and to get out of the Lexus game....it wasnt meant for me.... too expensive, and way far out of my familiar territory...i went back to what i know
So i sold my slick top is300, and picked up this 06 civic si....little did i know....there were A LOT more issues with it than the previous owner let me in on...
From the seemingly UNENDING wiring issues we have had to fix, to finding out the passenger side of the car has been replaced, and the door, is from a different year. I only found THAT out when i was replacing speakers, and found it odd that the stock speaker was still in the door (i hadnt had sound out of that one, so figured it was totally blown), and checked the harness, it didnt fit the cars stereo harness....checked the VIN, it doesnt match, it is from a different year 8th gen....
all i was told was it was a salvage title because of a amp fire....im finding otherwise....granted whoever had it, really couldnt wire for shit...when i was swapping out the headlight housings, one of THEIR headlights caught fire, mind you, the headlights didnt work anyways...
NOT TO MENTION the car had lowering springs up front, and stock suspension in the back #facepalm so i spent about a grand on replacing suspension, and control arms, tie rod ends, sway bar links etc....and get this...NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ANYMORE
basically everything in this car has been fixed, rewired, replaced, or upgraded... so top is before, bottom is after.
i love this car so much....but now im at the, i want another project point lol. Ive already had ppl enquiring about buying it, and anyone i let drive it, falls in love with it
