last night/today, car died, jumped, died, tried to replace battery , terminal nuts stuck, AAA replaces battery, alternator dead. boo
hmmm. brother in law says the alternator is easy to replace myself. Should I try it? the shop is going to charge me 411$ to replace it, I can buy the part for around 100.......... as long as it doesnt rain tomorrow!
hmmmmm tears and knuckle skin greater or less than 300 bucks.....
I did the radiator myself and saved 250 last year.
tempted. but so tired.

If it's an easy job for the car then go for it. The cars I know best are Nissans which unfortunately all too often have very tight engine compartments so those are jobs left to the professionals. If you do it yourself, make sure the battery is disconnected before you start since if you don't something might short out and that will not end well.
