Ive been M.I.A. lately. Working 6 days a week, anywhere from 10-14 hours a day will do that to you. The overtime is awesome; however dragging my sorry ass to work while everyone is just starting to go home from the bar is not very encouraging.
I was offered a few great jobs for the month of August from the marketing and graphics department of my work. It could be the start of something amazing. Who knowsbut I wont hold my breath.
I saw Charlie and the Chocolate Factory last week. I was utterly disappointed. Johnny Depp was gorgeous of course, there were a few scenes that reeked of the Burton Ive come to know and love. However, the pinnacle of the movie was about 30mins in and the rest was downhill. Oh well, theres always Corpse Bride.
Im going to see The Devils Rejects this week at the AMC Forum 22. The theatre is too damn far away for my likingbut I have no other choice.
Today is the SGMTL picnic. Instead of bringing vegan chocolate chip cookies (Im going to save those for a special girl I know), Im going to bring fresh fruit, orange juice, and champagne. Why champagne? Because despite all the adversity life has brought me, Ive conquered it all and am finally starting to live out my dream. Life is finally giving way to the path Ive chose, not the one it attempted to lay out before me.
