boredom strikes and i am unhappy with the latest rewrite of the story. the people i sent it off too have not contacted me, which whispers dark little things to the self-critic, the little guy in my head that feeds my doubt. i wonder if i should stick to poetry but that seems even more ethereal, and i wonder if the truest expression of a writer is not writing to be read, but writing to WRITE. if a person writes a word down, wanting to be read, wanting to echo, does that make it less pure? hmmm, i wonder
