why can no musician run sound equipment?
i work at a rental store, and every time a customer makes me sell them stuff(i say 'make' because we usually don't selll used gear, and i only do it if they don't go away),
they can't run it, to the point of asking for my cel phone #. never fails...

If they're trying to learn then you can't get too mad...Like I'm at the point where I know exactly what I want to do and hear but I can't do it all yet...We can't all be sound pros and I've played with some really talented musician but they were self taught and I didn't have the hear to do things myself...

went to toronto for work last week. it was pretty fun, i liked the town, lots of free food and drink, though hanging out with your boss for a few days starts to get a little strange. spent a few too many hours with some corporate fucks the day of the meeting we had, but oh well, that's the price of travel.

hey, you might want to check out toronto.com, bars i reccomend- sneaky dees (you mgiht see some sg's/members there) red rooom is good for late night chilling, the dance cave is good for alterna-dance (if ur into that) otherwise i know of no other good shows this weekend (although the walkmen are here tonight, and im going to see them in an hour, yay)

yeah, i dunno, i really like the walkmen and im hoping it was just an off night for them. i think the expressions on the bandmembers faces (a kind of restrained attempt not to burst out laughing) was kind of telling. the walkmen are a studio band, and its hard to reproduce their music live (and do justice to the recorded material) in a tiny venue in the back of a shitty bar in toronto. so don't be too quick to write them off, you never know what they might pull off at anothjer show. 
some guy offered me a job as an assistant photographer at the bar a couple nights ago. he was really schmoozy and flattering, it sounds like a good deal, but signing a contract was mentioned, and getting lucrative job offers at a bar should be taken with a grain of salt, my mama always said.

I'm a pessimist as well. I can totally relate...
Once, on this 3 hour bus trip, I had to listen to this idiot try to worm his way into some girl he just met's pants. Christ. And the worst part is she was falling for his BS.
But, who am I to talk? I'm failing 3 of 4 of my college classes due to lazieness, procrastination, and the most severe depression I had ever encountered.
But seriously, don't get me started on how humans don't have much hope left. I'm almost looking forward to John Titor's predicted US Civil war and eventual WWIII. Seriously, if we can't get along without killing eachother, then let's really do it. Maybe then, someone can realize, "Hey... fighting is stupid... why don't we stop fighting? Why not, instead, help eachother a bit? Ey?"
Obviously, that isn't what I really want to happen.
Bah, who cares? By tomorrow morning I'll be dead. I just OD'ed on Ramen.
