Allrighty, full on blog time...
KMFDM show... ha. Jules (guitar), and Andy (drums) are friends of mine. They are both in the first band (The Spittin Cobras) on my bf's record label One Eyed Records. None of our friends listen to them, however, I used to and Jules gave me a guest list spot for the show, so, I figured "why not?" The show was interesting... it was rather long, and (I hate to say it) boring. It amused me that Sascha and Luchia spent most of the show (aside from singing) turning knobs on little (sound?) boards in front of each of them... when anyone that isn't a complete moron could tell that it was just for show, and did nothing. I saw entirely too many 14 year olds (who woulda known that they still have such a young following?) in skanky latex outfits... but the 40+ year olds rocking out like 12 year olds at an NSYNC concert were the absolute greatest. I ended up watching those people for most of the show. I will say that I did enjoy the first couple songs, it just got repetative after a while. However, Jules shred on the guitar, as usual... he is one of the few people I have seen that has the ability to really amaze me with his talent.
After the show, we went to the "green room" to drink free beer, and wait for everyone to clear out and head to the after party at a local club, The Noc Noc. I hadn't been to The Noc Noc in yeeeeeeeeeears... it was fun. My friends and I were all slightly out of place amongst the platforms, and black lipstick. Haha. At one point, a girl came up to Jules and said "Hi, I'm (insert name here). You probably don't remember me but we met at (insert random place)... you were drunk, we made out." Jules gave me a HORRIFIED look, so, I opted to tell them "you guys should probably make out again, to commemorate the first make out." WIthout missing a beat Jules responded with "Uh.,, I have scabs. All over my mouth." (He doesn't) and then turned to me and mumbled "and I don't need any more." Not too much happened aside from that, just hanging out and beer drinking. We ended up staying until the club closed. Had to skip the after hours hotel rampage, as I had to be awake at 6:45 am for work. Boo for being responsible.
What else... Ah, yes. The water pump on my car is still broken. It has been since... March? I have the pump, and looked up how to fix it. I'm pretty sure I can do it but there is a belt that has to be removed, and I'm pretty sure I'll need help with that. My boyfriend keeps saying that he will help me... buuuuuuuut that, clearly, hasn't happened yet! I asked him about it today, and he said that last time he came up to do it, I didn't want to. Serious? NO WAY. My car has been broken for 8 MONTHS, there is NO WAY I would turn down an opportunity to try to get it running because I am sick of having to ride the bus.
So, my birthday is next month... everyone is going to be gone for it and Thanksgiving (bf will be on tour with the Cobras) SO I am going to California to visit. I am ridiculously excited. I miss everyone there so much. I get, like, 2 calls a day asking if I need a ride to the airport, and where I am spending Thanksgiving. I'm afraid I am going to get there, and not want to leave (ha, last time I moved back, thats what happened!!).
So, since I've already plugged One Eyed Records, and the Cobras... here are tour dates. These boys put on one of the best live shows I've ever seen (and I have yet to see them be on an "off" night), if you can make it, I highly recommend going!! TOUR DATES!!! Go, and tell Rob to help fix my car. The Spittin Cobras are also on iTunes. In case you were wondering They made it into the top 6 out of thousands of bands last year for Guitar Centers open for Motley Crue contest.
*EDIT* Grr... I can't get the video to embed so here is the LINK
There is another video on Youtube that is a recording of an acutal performance of this song but I liked all the random show footage that was used in this video (including Alx hanging from the rafters, and sitting on Jules' shoulders while he was trying to play...). Please please pleaaaase at least give em a listen.
Hmmm... I think that is all I can think of at the moment. Thanks to everyone for their patience!!
*EDIT* Duh, I forgot to post about my Halloween costume. It's been a tough debate since I am strapped for cash, since I am going to Cali next month. BUT I think I am going as a Dexter murder victim (I love that show)... saran wrap, knife in the chest, slash on the cheek... it could be a good idea.

It was neat, I will post photos of my costume if I do even go, everything seems to pointless now.
I have never seen Dexter.
Im sorry the show wasnt very good, but at least you got in for free and got to hang out with the band.
Im glad the after party was so much fun, but feeling out of place always feels bad.
I hope you get your car fixed soon, if I lived near you I would try to help you out with it.
I hope you have an amazing time on your birthday, Im sure you will, sounds like you have a lot of friends there.
If they were going to be anywhere close to me I would go see them.
Well that one song is pretty good, maybe I will check them out some more some time.
Sounds like a creative idea for a costume.
