Going Vegan is proving to be more difficult for me than first thought. I'm not doing it completely because I'm digusted by farming industry practices... I'm doing it because it's better for you not to throw all of those additional chemicals in your body. It's definitally a process weining yourself off of stuff however. I am trying super hard though. Soon I will attain my goal of ironclad Veganism! That's really my goal this year.
My mother was diagnosed as diabetic last spring and I have no wish to follow in her footsteps (though I still maintain that even at my worst I still ate better than she did before she was diagnosed most of the time). Also one of my friends thinks that he might be at risk for becoming diabetic and I've been trying to help him discover good for you foods that taste amazing too. Went out to dinner last night and made him try part of my black bean burger which he admitted was pretty tasty.
I haven't noticed any real weight loss yet but my skin is defintially clearing up the more I manage to avoid meat, dairy, sodas, and artificial sweetners. Though I'm not really able to get out much to work out aside from the running up and down the ladders and the sales floor that I do at work.
In other news I've got my awesome concert of awesomeness to go to on Saturday. Information Society, ThouShaltNot *squeal*, and Cesium137. Looking forward to that alot. I've been waiting 4 years to see ThouShaltNot again and I adore them.
Now to go to work... oh goody.
