Hi guys!
As I promised, this will be the blogpost about my trip to Los Angeles!
I travelled with a friend of mine, who has a friend living in L.A, that's why we decided to spend a few days there, before heading to Tokyo. It was amazing, I loved the city more than I expected to!
It wasn't a long stay - only 5 days, so we had limited time to do a proper tour. But I ate some delicious food, did some local stuff like go to the FedEx to retrieve a package; to the post office to buy stamps for a few postcards and to the laundromat. Sounds dumb but I really enjoy to experience mundane stuff in other countries and cultures. We also went to The Broad and saw a beautiful expo called Soul of a Nation: Art in the Age of Black Power 1963-1983.
It was fun getting around town with a local and how strangely familiar everything felt. I've been watching shows and films set in L.A for so long that it was surreal to actually be there. I saw some stereotypical L.A people and it was such a gag to see that were somehow true, like the yoga girls, the detox juice trend, and all the talk about traffic made me giggle inside!
I loved the tacos and burgers I ate but I wish I had more time to taste different types of food! I will be returning sometime for a real food tour!
Here a few pics I took along the way:
Lunch @ Canter's Deli - I ordered a pastrami sandwich with coleslaw and pink lemonade. I can't remember what my friends ordered tho, but we shared pancakes after!
We also took a selfie in the Guns n' Roses booth @ Canter's!
In-n-out was a must in my list, I had never tasted before, I loved it! I asked for the double burger with grilled onions, vanilla shake and fries!
I have so many pictures, I would be impossible to cover everything, but here are some of my favourites :)
That's all folks!
xoxo,
;)
