Heeey guys!
How are you doing lately?
I’m feeling fine, just feeling a little lazy to start the new year.
In my last blog I talked about the past decade and it was fun to break down the events that led me to today.
In that blogpost I also mentioned a few key events of 2019 and I’d like to share a few pictures of them.
The first thing I mentioned, is that I moved houses.
I’ve been living alone since I was 16yo. When I was 13, we moved to Japan for my mother’s work, I lived there for 2 years but didn’t adapted well and got really depressed. Because of that, we returned to Brazil for a while, and when the time came for my mom to go back, I didn’t want to go. So I stayed alone in a house that we owned until 8 months ago.
It was financially comfortable to live in that house for a long time - I didn't had to pay rent, only utility - but it was in the suburbs, so I had to commute a lot. So it started draining my soul year by year, and in January I decided to rent a place at the downtown. I took a while to find the right place for the right price, but I managed and moved to a very old apartment building, close to a metro station, and walk distance from a bunch of places that I love.
Below few pics I took along the 8 months living here (with cameos from my pets). I didn't have much furniture to start, but by now I think I have all the essential pieces of a home. I'm so in love with this place, I hope I can live here for a a few years. The apartment is old and a little worn out, but I think it gives character to the place.
I bought these pieces in Manaus, the capital of the Amazon state, North of Brazil. They are handmade from natural materials!
The light here makes my heart so happy!
When we arrived in our new place, my pets started fighting each other for a few weeks, but now that we are cozy they're getting along super fine again.
I've been collecting stickers for a year or so now and putting all of them in my fridge, YOLO!
This is how I keep an eye in the sets I have to edit!
Building and attaching this shoe cabinet in the wall was a nightmare. The material is junk and the instructions where nonsense. But I love having it there, stocking away my dirty shoes but looking cute with a few decoration on top!
I bought this shower curtain at Target in Chicago! As I mentioned in my last blogpost, I spent 36 hours in Chicago. I was so jet legged that I didn't took much photos while there. But I will do a post about L.A and Japan shortly after this one, with pictures!
