I've been wanting to do a @bloghomework that are assigned by @missy @rambo @charmaine and @lyxzen for a while but had a hard time deciding on one. I chose to go with a relatively old one "10 random facts" because I feel like I don't post a whole lot of personal stuff on here (mainly because I'm a bore) but here are some random tidbits about me!
1. I'm originally from Michigan but moved here to Milwaukee about a year ago. We plan to move to Colorado this summer, which is super exciting for me!
2. Though I grew up in Michigan, I was actually born in Memphis, Tennessee. My father was in the Navy which meant him, my mother and my older sister moved around a lot. They happened to be in Memphis when I was born. I actually have a lot of extended family in Tennessee too.
3. I'm a Harry Potter freak if you didn't figure it out by my deathly hallows tattoo. If I could be any character it'd probably be Luna Lovegood, she does and believes in whatever she wants with no regards to what other people think, which is kick ass.
4. I played softball and tennis in high school but my crowning athletic accomplishment was bowling. I was all conference, MVP and went to states. As if I wasn't already a complete nerd, I had to excel in the nerdiest sport available lol but I love bowling and have ever since I started in first grade. I miss it a lot.
5. I have an unnatural love for pizza. I know for some reason pizza is kind of a trend now, but for real. If I didn't have the small amount of self control I do have, I would eat it morning, noon and night. "Pizza in the mornin', pizza in the evenin', pizza at supper time. When pizza's on a bagel, you can have pizza anytime!" Right?
6. I may have cried, just the tiniest bit, for like 2 seconds, when I got my owl on my ribs. It was only my second tattoo and I went in expecting it to be about a quarter of the size and not on my ribs. Once the artist showed me it though, I fell in love with it and decided to tough it out. It was embarrassing because I hate hate hate crying in public. The only other times I'll admit to it are when I saw Dumbledore and Dobby die when I saw the movies in theaters. And that's ok because the few tears I did shed in public pale in comparison to the amount I cried when I read it in private.
7. I am probably one of thee most awkward people you would ever meet. I am really uncomfortable in social situations and it's become increasingly worse since leaving high school. I have a hard time making small talk or just simply interacting with other people. My brain doesn't move fast enough I feel like so I don't tend to talk around others. That combined with my resting bitch face makes people believe I'm completely unapproachable, which naturally doesn't help the situation. So basically I'm hermit.
8. When I was in college I worked as a cook at applebees for a short time. Worst. Job. Ever. Both the servers and managers treated the cooks like shit and the pay was definitely not worth it. It ended up being the only job I've ever quit by walking out on in the middle of a shift. It gave me a new found respect for cooks. Ugh. It gives me anxiety to even talk about it.
9. This summer I got to check off a lot of my "must see live" bands. The Offspring, Phantogram, Tegan and Sara and my long time favorite band, The Fray. They were all amazing! Well, Phantogram was great for the first two songs I did hear before passing out from God knows what (No, I hadn't even had a drop of alcohol). But that's a story for a different time lol
10. I love working out. Like I only take days off if I have to work a double and even then if I have to miss more than two days a week I freak out. It helps me release a lot of my anxiety and I love having control of what my body looks like. I'm so lucky my boyfriend has been working out for over 10 years and has been patient enough to show me so much over the past 2 years that we've been dating.
Sorry if that was all a bit long winded but I thought, Hey! I've been on here for a little while now, mabye you guys want to know a little about me!
