School Starts back up in October, and though I don't feel like I've wasted my summer away I feel in the last couple of weeks that I'm starting to reach that point. So I've vowed to myself to do things I've wanted to do for ages but have been to caught up in Architecture school to do. Here is the list, the Kai's final days of summer list. I have 41 days till I technically start back up... though some of those days will be taken up with choosing classes etc... so here goes!
Buy soil and plant my seedlings
Get my home knitting classes off to a roaring start!
Create Business Card / A5 Flyers for my classes and hand them out!
Fix my sewing machine
Sew decorative pillows for my sofa
Sew pillow covers for the bed and embroider them
Learn more about the manual features of my DSLR and using my one new lens!
Buy 35mm film and 120 film and practice more with my Diana F+ and my Diana Mini
Finish at least one page of my cross stitch project
Use up atleast one piece of my yarn stash!
Buy yarn and start knitting my extremely tacky christmas jumper!
Buy and Read at least 5 books on Suburbia for my dissertation
Search and Destroy for the perfect Sketchbook for my Architectural IDA report. (I'm a total sketchbook snob.)
Do at least 30 sketches and try to get back into hand drawing. (last year was entirely CAD)
Visit the new Penguin Beach and London Zoo!
Properly visit the Tate Modern's Permanent collections
Visit the National Portrait Gallery
Make Polaroid Magnets for my fridge!
Find or make and send the perfect post card to chip!
Make a proper Red Velvet cake coloured with beets!
Update my foodblog at least 5 times with new recipes... (to be honest I should put up my carrot cake on there!)
Finally organise all of last years CAD creations on both computers and my hard drive
Dye My Hair
Learn to use my pizza stone
Learn how to make the perfect Margarita.
I'm going to try to complete this whole list, (money depending) but I'll be happy if I complete half of it! I may or may not edit to add more as I think of all those things I've put off! I'm sure when I complete these things it will motivate me to update my Kais Day in Sketches more and more! because as many of you have noticed, I've been a bit slow about it!

If you find the perfect sketchbook, please let me know! I've been debating [URL=http://shop.monocle.com/stationery/monocle-stationery-notebooks , but don't have a shop near by to see and feel one prior to purchase... Monocle x stationery
And for post cards, have you tried Instagram? Post cards from your phone... INSTAGRAM
The marathon went well! under 4 hours, no injuries! And you inspired me to kick up a to do list as well... might need to flesh it out a bit, but a start is the hardest part. And that part is done... thanks for kicking me into it!
best of luck on your list, and if you give those books a shot, i MUST know how they go... I agree on Moleskines... lovely, but far from perfect. I had to give them up and am on a similar search. Currently on a 100% bamboo book. Good brightness, nice feel, but the binding is weak and overall presence is rather flimsy.
