I'm scared. I'm going to the specialist today for my thyroid. I know they're going to rub the awkward gooey gel of an ultrasound all over my neck. I know they're going to go over my awkward test results and they're going to finally put into words just how bad my thyroid is for someone my age. I've never been to a specialist I've always just heard GP's slightly unreliable accounts of what is probably happening. The basics of everyones thyroid problem rather then my own. I'm scared that for once I'm going to have to face the reality of taking medication every day for the rest of my life and I'm going to do it for the first time without my mother. Without her driving me there. Without her waiting outside the waiting room to give me a big hug. Without a quick trip for ice cream after. without going to the pharmacy and picking up medication while buying tons of completely materialistic things I don't need but make me happy.
So speaking of materialistic things and needing to be happy, I've divulged a illustrated list of things that make me happy that have brought me through this worrying week!
Chocolate Easter Bunnies!
Inspirational Drawings done by other people.
Innocent Smoothies! Yum!
Pretty Flowers, (My mom's favorite.)
Female Singer Songwriters
My Furry Clutch that I refer to as My Kitty.
Making and Eating Pie.
Getting Architecture Magazines weekly!
Absolutely beautiful designed mail
Making funny little badges/pins with caravans on them
Taking Really Epic Model Photos
Things that are Yellow and Grey.
At the beginning of this blog I started crying but with the help of the little things like this I think I'll get through.

I haven't tried any with kale yet but I'm planning on getting some on the weekend. Most people recommend starting with baby spinach first because it's not as strong tasting as a lot of other greens so that's what I went with. I started with a small handful and have been putting a little more in each day, there's no real method to it, you just throw in whatever you feel like and blend it up. I honestly cant taste it but I haven't tried any of the stronger tasting greens yet so that may change.
I was surprised that my skin has got better from them though. I normally have ok skin, a couple of spots and some blotchy red patches at times, but after doing the smoothies it's a lot better. I had a couple of days with more spots than normal, I guess my skin was purging toxins or something, but now I've got no spots and no redness either.
This weekend is going to rule! has indeed been too long x
