I don't think I've slept more than four hours a night this week and all it's really shown me is how old I'm getting. Ten years ago it was nothing I couldn't handle and was how I lived most of the time. Now I'm a complete fucking zombie who somehow feels miserable and numb at the same time.
I turn 32 in a couple months. I'm just taking that week off and avoiding everyone I know.
Of course when I was 16 I was fairly convinced I wouldn't live this long, so I guess that counts for something.
Went through a walk through our dead downtown on my dinner break instead of eating anything. Just vacant building after vacant building aside from a couple bars frequented by boomers and seniors, a diner that's closed by 5 p.m., the courthouse and some lawyers' offices. It's a depressing environment to find yourself in the middle of almost every day...or, in my case now, every night.
