That confirms it. Downtime is a necessary thing. I did not realize how fried I was and how much I needed to just have a few days of not doing anything more constructive than warming up leftovers. I can tell because when I went back to work today, I had my usual crazy-assed schedule with new "emergencies", meetings out the wazoo, and no time to get anywhere on the big projects that are looming over me. And I don't feel like killing anyone--I actually feel pretty good about it. It's fucking amazing what a decent amount of time off can do for a person. I wonder how long this will last. . .
So, NY's resolutions--here are mine:
1. Plan vacations. Ahead of time. Make them happen.
2. Wear lipstick more often. (A perennial favorite.)
3. Try my damndest to get work under control.
4. Work with Schiavona (and any other volunteers) to learn how to hold still to get decent pictures of me taken.
5. Lose the 5 pounds I gained in Nov/Dec. (Another perennial favorite.)
6. Get back down to clay world and make pottery.
And I'm open to any other suggestions. Now, tell me what yours are!!
