Thank you, thank you for the fab birthday greetings. I've decided that the birthday this year is just going to be a continual celebration. We started w/the tattoo and then last Tuesday had a Happy Hour (mostly because of the hour and half all company meeting to roll out the new "strategic plan"). Wednesday, Schiavona took me out to a really nice steakhouse and we had a wonderful dinner. Saturday, we went out to a local dive bar and drank beer, ate questionable food, and played buzztime trivia. Thanks to everyone who came and let me win most of the time!! I love you all!!
The next installment is going to, wait for it, that's right, Punxsutawney to see Phil the Groundhog on Groundhog Day. One of my best buds grew up there, so we're driving up on Friday, getting up at some insane hour of the morning on Saturday, and going to see Phil prognosticate. Apparently, there's a good bit of tradition involved, so I suspect there will be some good stories. I have met Phil before--he lives in the library and the last time I was in Punxy, I got to see him in his "natural" habitat.
I'm also thinking that another thing I should do is the "indoor skydiving" where there's like a vertical wind tunnel and you go freefall on it. I'm taking names for people who want to do this, too--it's not terribly expensive and there's one in Raeford, outside of Ft. Bragg. I'm open to other suggestions--paintball, etc.

Yeah, I figured since I had to learn the lesson, maybe others could learn from it too........
Hopefully next time I'll be smarter and more patient!
Glad your party was a dandy!
Take care love.
