I'm back in Tempe, finally. It feels like I've been around the world and back.
My pregnant sister is getting married, which is good news! She's really stressed out.. Everyone back home really needs me to be there.
Last night I decided on a plan for the next six months or so.
-I'm going to go back to Oklahoma and live with my mom
-Get a job with a company that has branches in Arizona (or somewhere else, who knows?)
-Save money for moving
-Pay off my $900 bursar balance at OSU
-Transfer schools to start in the spring
-Study abroad?!
Anyway, I feel immensely relieved after deciding what I'm going to put my energy into. I have focus and purpose in my life again! Feels good, man.
Now I'll tell you all about my little weekend trip to San Diego to stay with my stepmother's parents. We drove down Thursday, about a 6-hour drive from Tempe. We didn't do much, in classic grandparents' house style, but I had a nice time. They just moved there from Phoenix and are living in this beautiful condo that's two miles from the beach. Dziadzi (polish for 'grandfather') is a bit of a curmudgeon, though, so he has to go through all of the things he would change if it were his house (they're renting until they decide if they'll stay in San Diego). His wife is sweet, round little East Coast Grammy. She's so funny and cute! She bought me a little unicorn plushy at the grocery store. She loves wine and food and cooking. Being in her kitchen is nerve-racking but enjoyable.
And the food!.. I can't put into words how well this woman cooks. I miss the food already..
Anyway, the one exciting thing we did while in San Diego was go on a fancy sailboat! I'd never been on one before but I loved it.

I feel as though my luck has changed! I'm in a great mood.. but that might be because I've decided to go home, haha.
