Two days until Mexico! Ahhh, the waiting is torturous. My best friend from back home is flying in tomorrow and driving down with my stepmom and I. My dad, little brothers, and my dad's friend are going to be driving down Wednesday because the boys' passports were seriously delayed by their vengeful mothers.
I got my electric deposit back today, most of which went to my mother. I've got about $50 to spend in Mexico this week.. Pitiful, right? I'm not spending it on anything other than alcohol because.. well, why would I? My folks are going to be buying groceries for food the whole week and I don't need any more knick-knacks or clothes, especially not the over-priced gift shop sort.
I am excited, despite my monetary setbacks and many disappointments I've had since moving to AZ.
I haven't gotten the call back on the job I was so sure I had gotten. Pretty sure I didn't get it but there are a few places I've looked at. If I don't find something before the end of the summer, I'm fucked and will have to go back to Oklahoma to stay with my mother and wait tables again. -_- Not happening.
My goal is to save up to go somewhere really amazing next year. I don't need a car; once you buy a car, you commit to spending tons of money on it consistently until you don't have it any more. That just seems silly to me when I could just utilize public transit. Besides, I'm going to have to do that until I have enough saved for a car anyway so I might as well do something cool with that money. I'm thinking Australia but somewhere in Europe is always on the table. South America would probably be the cheapest. Southeast Asia would be amaaaazing.. Thailand? South Korea? Fuuuck..
When I think about all the places I want to see before I die, I can't help but feel overwhelmed. Sometimes it feels like I'm not going anywhere at all.
Enough! I banish ye angst. I'm going to Mexico, muthasuckaaas. That's somewhere!
