Out taking artsy photos of the snow around my neighborhood tonight, and got jumped by a gang of kids. After they threw me around a bit, they took off with my cell phone. idiots. what good does it do them? I had it turned off in about 20 minutes, and they can't re-activate it.
Lesson one: don't go into dark parks in the middle of the night (but what fun is that? I like dark parks...)
Lesson two: happily give up cell phones, pants, shoes (anything really) before thinking about giving up camera... that they'll have to pry out of my cold dead fingers.
Will I go out and take photos at night again? Hell Yeah.
Will I get jumped again? probably sooner or later.
I just hope they don't go after the camera.

I know it sucks to have things stolen. I had a bunch of my stuff stolen out of our van in Las Vages. Everything from my CDs, to my cell phone, to my shoes. but your right about not worrying about it happen again. theres no sense in living in fear. But i just got a car broken into, having someone come and take something would be alot more unnerving. i hope everything works out, and that doesnt happen again. but who knows.
