So I wanted to leave my long-ass Coyote story up for a while, but there's something that needs ranting at. So go back a day and read the other story if you're patient enough.
So I moved across the country to go to The Clown Conservatory. Other things too, yes, but its my frickin' dream to train at the Circus Center. This just needs reinforcement throughout this tale.
So I move in with another clown named Harvey. Well, her clown in named Romance, but her name is Harvey. And now she's a different kind of Clown than I am, she's a theatre person who found clowning, so she has a very different perspective on it than I do, and I think than a lot of clowns do. She was adamantly opposed to the Clown Conservatory from the second I said I was going there. She almost spit venom at its very mention. I mean it, she developed venom sacks because she hated the place. Mind you, never having been there. She just thought it wasn't for her.
Which was good for me, because, though I love Harvey, there's no fucking way I could stand being in class with her.
So she goes to one of their performances with me, and still doesnt think much of it. She hangs around and hears some of the directors' notes after the show and doesnt think much of them as directors and teachers. But there was a show last night. She went to this show and all of a sudden she's transformed into a true believer of the Clown Conservatory.
She's going to audition.
I can't take that! I would seriously drop out if she was going to be in the classes at the same time as me. I just cannot talk shop (clowning i mean) with Harvey. It just irritates me and gets me upset. I don't want her there. She was doing her clown stuff, and we'd talk occasionally, but anytime critiquing my point of view comes up, she's one of those my-way-or-its-shite arguers sometimes, just ARRRG!! I know for a fact I wouldn't be able to stand having her in the program the same time as I'm doing it. And she's so bloody arrogant too, she thinks she's god's gift to the theatre. Genious-level performer coming through and ten different kinds of bollocks.
What the fuck do I do?
