So I have been looking to move out of the midwest for a while now. I grew up in the same house for 17 years, then moved in with my new stepmom for a couple years, and then moved here to Ames for the last 5 years. Needless to say, I haven't done to much of traveling or living in new places.
Anyways, I got to talking with some of my friends that are graduated or graduating soon that want to get out too, and they told me they were moving out to Portland. Then they asked me if I wanted to go to. I have thought about it off and on for a couple months, and after doing some research into schools out there and the other important stuff I finally decided to take them up on their offer.
If all goes to plan, we are going to go check out a few areas in Portland this spring break and then move out there at the end of our leases in July. I am pretty excited and nervous.
Any tips for big moves like this or any special info about Portland and the Pacific Northwest?
