I have already mentioned my plan several times for work on a Batman sleeve, but I am finally doing it. I am going in for my first sitting on Oct 28th at 430 with Izzy at Lasting Impressions in Ames. If you look back at past posts you can get a good description of what I am going to do.

I am pumped.biggrin

Just got back from the load-out of Miley Cyrus in Des Moines. As one would expect, it was a great show in a the technical aspect; I came in to work at the tail-end of the concert so I only heard a bit, and her voice was tired by then. But she played her newest hits well enough(not a big Miley fan, always feel pervy...

Just picked up some stuff for my halloween costume. My original idea was sweeney todd, but my friend making the costume had some setbacks on other costumes so I let her off the hook for my costume.

Anyway, I headed to the salvation army with a few ideas in mind, hoping that the perfect thing would jump out at me(not literally, I am still on...

Pretty much fully recovered from yesterday's concert at work, except my back. Ironically, I spent a lot of the day shadowing a roadie because he had completely fucked his back the last concert on their tour. Anyway, I started out the day rigging up the lighting truss, then moved on to help the guy out, got to get the opening band off after their set,...

Two concerts in as many days, though two completely different bands. Tonight I saw a trio called Project. They are...well the easiest descriptor is Jazz trio: Flute, Bass, and Cello. They met about 13 years ago at a conservatory and started making twists on classics and new works alike. Tonight, on top of several original pieces they jazzed up Peter and the Wolf, the Nutcracker,...

Got off from work last night in time for a decent concert. Saosin came to play an acoustic set at a local bar, and the music was great. But, the bar was talked into making it an all ages show, so they didn't sell any booze until after the show. This kind of made most of their jokes fall flat; I thought they were funny...

It is a beautiful 72 degrees out right now. I only mention this because we have reached the perfect weather here in Iowa. If I can get away with wearing a hoodie and jeans, I am happy person.

This is also a reason I am happy to be moving to Portland. Average yearly high of 81 and low of 33 with a lot of rain....

So I have been looking to move out of the midwest for a while now. I grew up in the same house for 17 years, then moved in with my new stepmom for a couple years, and then moved here to Ames for the last 5 years. Needless to say, I haven't done to much of traveling or living in new places.

Anyways, I got...

I made it through. Work was quite the bitch. It only took 34 hours of my life in a 48 hour timespan. Basically, last year one of the buildings that I worked in was taken over by another company, and they had their heads up their asses, making me not want to work there. However, this week was their first actual concert and they had...
