im back!
it's been an insanely weird month...
started taking some classes to finish my degree, I hadn't really stopped to think about how much work it was going to be since the usual 16 week semester is compressed into like 7 durring the summer. so.... in class for about 15 hours a week, working for like, 40+ hours a week, and studying durring all my free (haha) time. weeeeee!!!
then on Tuesday I get a call in the morning to find out my boss (whom despite my frequent frustration with, I consider a dear friend, as I've known him a fair amount longer than I've worked for him) died in a car accident very early Tuesday morning. he'd driven to Wisconson Monday night to pick up a motorcycle he'd been searching for for a while, and 20 miles outside of town comming home they rear-ended a semi entering the freeway. both of them died instantly. it's just absolutely surreal. I've lost family, friends, etc. before. but it's strange to lose someone your so used to seeing and interracting with every single day.
very sad.
if you didn't know, I work at a career college, he was one of the founders. his vision has already touched the lives of so many people already, and will probably continue to do so for years to come. at least he got to see his legacy come to life before he left.
