Looking at Facebook, I really wish there was a filter option so I wouldn't have to read anybody's post if it included the words: "Obama", "Republicans", "Democrats", "Jesus", "God", "Immigration", or "Farm Ville" for that matter. I swear Facebook has become the equivalent of bumper stickers, I probably don't care about your opinions on these matters, if I do care about your opinion on them,...

Now and again, I watched the Chopped All Stars, but I'm more of and Iron Chef and Good Eats kinda guy. Restaurant Impossible is fun even though it is exactly the same as Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmares.

Thats what I thought when I seen the previews to Restaurant Impossible. I was hoping Irvine would win Chopped All Stars though. Glad to have found another food network fan! Hope to chat again soon. I am off to the doctor! xoxo
I've been supremely bored lately. I'm attempting to get a new living situation figured out and I have a test to take in three weeks that may lead to me having a grown up job. I still suck with the ladies, but hey, why should that change now?
My car is being hinky...at the parents place for the night. And I was gonna make a roast...poppycock. Lonesome lately, no more than ever, it just feels that way.
I am sitting alone, drinking and watching Iron Chef on my DVR...truly 'tis a sad meaningless bastard existence I lead. Not sure what I have going on tomorrow, but Saturday...oh Saturday. Starting off with all inclusive Cardinals tickets and then, as if that weren't stupidly awesome enough, it turns out Sebadoh is playing at Off Broadway. Holy turds it's all gonna be amazing.

That all sounds like heaven to me...
I'm at work. Pulling hair out

Well my Saturday at least I hope is excellent. The lonely drinking and Iron Chef (Followed by Jeopardy by the way) was kinda lame. What sort of line of work are you in that requires you to pull your hair out?
So, I've come to terms with the fact that I could never make it as a bartender in the city of Saint Louis for the following reasons: 1. Pants-not tight enough. 2. Tattoo-not visible enough. 3. Glasses (When I wear them)-not chunky and vintage looking enough. 4. T-shirts-not kitschy enough. I think that's the primary list for now, but I'm sure I'll think of more....

I saw The English Beat last night, those guys put on a kick ass show and even someone as white as myself can skank to a fresh two tone beat. First show since probably when I saw Lou Barlow back in like August.
Apathy is a difficult habit to break.
So I think my new best philosophical approach to life is to simply stop having any expectations for anything at all, hopes lend themselves to disappointments. Perhaps it's better to be a feather without a bird, going wherever the wind manages to blow you. I dunno.

It's true. When you don't expecting anything, and then something awesome happens, it will be unexpected and it will make you feel good.
So Sunday night I'm at work and get a text from an old friend of mine, seems he's shitty drunk on the Landing and unable to drive and in need of a sympathetic ear. So granted we're not so close right now, aren't well apprised of each others' situations at any given time, but I like to think that I am a fairly reliable cat...

Two other bartenders are going on vacation this upcoming week, so I will be effectively living at work. I'm scheduled 42 and a half, but that will undoubtedly turn into more as I have to show up early on one of those days to count inventory and you'd better believe that is going down on the clock. Tuesday will be my off day then work...
