Back to work I go...my "weekends" go very quickly, but the work week tends to as well. I've gotten the hang of the whole C.O. thing, it's a lot of saying "no" a pretty fair amount of lying to people and the rest of the time trying to ascertain when people are lying to you (spoiler alert...it's damn near constantly). I stopped by my storage unit in the city and grabbed a few things tonight, my assam tea pot, cause I need to start using some of my loose leaf tea and a guitar cable, cause I got my amp back from the old job a few months ago and needed to plug in. My Breedlove acoustic/electric bass and guitar both sound very nice through the ole Ampeg, but then...I plugged in the Ric...it had been FAR TOO LONG. I can state without a doubt in my mind that even with a wonky input jack and a toggle switch that seems to not want the bass pickup to work properly, there is no finer electric bass guitar than a Rickenbacker 4003...it is quite simply put, perfection. So clean, so full, just plain delightful, I need to find a good repair shop and have it looked at though cause I want it to be full functional and I can afford to have it repaired by people who are really quite skilled at that sort of thing now...being grown up...weird.
