Wow baseball...just wow. People gush about football, people gush about hockey and I'll admit, despite it being my birthright, it took me awhile to understand and appreciate baseball, but man...once you do, there's nothing like it. Thursday night in the course of an hour, I went from being convinced we weren't able to take a game six to being entirely convinced we couldn't possibly lose the game seven we forced into existence. Some people still won't get it, but if you watched this 2011 Cardinals team throughout the year and throughout the playoffs, missing our best pitcher since before the start of the season, it's borderline miraculous. I love baseball and I'm sad it's over 'til spring, but we're the goddamned World Champs and I can rock my Cardinals hats all winter and nobody has any right to talk shit.
