Hello sg world!! As my followers can see, i suck at blogging. Lol prob most of them dont even remember they are actually following me, but ill try to do my best again... lets say its a new year resolution lol.
Lil update of whats been happening in the past year ans whats coming up.
I no longer live in edmonton, i moved to vancouver now. Well more precisely surrey, so basically i have to avoid bullets, getting stabbed and stepping on needles.
Also i decided to combined all my jobs into one and have a bad ass job titles. So now instead of being a carpenter, photographer, doorman... Im a space cat hillbilly. Thats sounds just way better. Lol
Oh and i realised that im a workaholic. I dont even need all those jobs. Im just bored out if my mind when i dont do anything, and while i dont do anything i might as well make money to spend on random things that passes through my head. But more about that subject later lol.
I the past year ive been shooting alot more sg set. This is my happy stuff right now. Actually for me 2016 was good for that but bad for friends. 2017 will be a conplet shit show photography wise with all the is in planning.
You might already have seen my latest work i did here, but i decided to give you a lil sneak a peak of whats coming up in the next few months, what im working on and whats in planning.
@noel is so fun and easy to work with. We had some great talks and shes so hilarious. She boosted my confidence as a photographer since im my worst critic and always have a hard time believing people when they say my work is good. I can't believe that 2017 marks 10th year on suicidegirls. This totally awesome lady has been rock'n the sg world for 10 years!!.... that my friends is worth celebrating. Also in members review right now. @lee in her new set. We had to hurry up so much cause we were losing natural light fast and laughed way too hard with all the jokes noel kept cracking up. But it turned out great. Im really proud of this set, its one my favorite. I think we did an awesome job and work well together. We first met at the blackheart burlesque in montreal a few years ago. That show was the first thing i ever shot.... ive came along a long way since then. Magic happening this way <-
Can forget @skylan either. Shes one super sweet girl, like always happy. It was great meeting her and trying to avoid taking pictures of myself in those mirrors. Lol
Aaaahh @rileyblackcraft ... one of those girls that you all still dont know much about. We litteraly met by pure chance... yep we met on ig. She commented on one of my pictures on ig saying she always wanted to be sg but doesnt think she has the look... well i told her that shes wrong and that she can and it started from there. The next day basically we were shooting this beautiful set. Now we are great friends and txt almost everyday. Cant wait to see her again. Together its like we're those people that always knew eachother even if we just met.
I really had a great time shooting with @charleekitty . I really like this set we shot in montreal last summer and cant wait to work with her again next summer.
@zillah another one i met by pure chance while is was in montreal. I was looking for a tattoo artist to get the sg logo tattooed on the top of my hand that had free time like right now. I just passed by the shop while was getting back to the location and decided to stop and get in. Zillah is the artist who tattooed my sg logo. Now how to avoid talking what sg stands for when youre getting it tattooed..... 2 days later we were shooting her debut set.
@caraphernelia and that swing... when i first started organise that montreal shootfest, i wrote to all girls and tagged them all in a post on sg when i found the location of the shootfest. And then it started.... everybody wanted to call dibs on the swing and even if i repeated many times that someone already has it reserved, they kelt going and eith good reason. Comd on, a swing in a loft.... fucking great reason lol. But she called it first and im a man of my word, so she got the swing and the set is amazing.
In september at my edmonton shootfest i had the chance to shoot my second set with @starry . Another one we met by chance. I was on the media guest list at the blackheart burlesque in edmonton last year and i was standing first row, straight in the center... she was right beside me. I didnt noticed her right away since i kept living the show through a lens, but when they invited the girl to come do a dance off on stage, well this lil one (thats how i call her) needed help to go om the stage (which was freakinly high lol) so i helped her out, i gave her my card cause i thought she had the style and she reach out to me. Since that day we went for taco every week and was drunk bumping into eachother hahah. In other words, the begining of a great friendship. Like she said "our awkwardness understand eachother".
Does anybody doesnt know @fayewhyte yet?!?! We litteraly done magic on our first set together, she turned pink. Now this is our second set coming up in just a few months. Theres no real funny story on how we met, but where we met is something else lol. We met at Filthy McNasty during punkrock bingo... the bingo where the price arent money but the raddest stuff ever.... for exemple in won a sriracha lunchbox, a cock straw, a cockring, - vibrator and a 80's porn movie lol. Ok i was going every week cause i love punk rock, beer and winning stupid shit haha. She calls me a "fartographer" and i tell her to not blink haha.
Now for the work in process. Im currently working on 2 sets.
New girl!!! @angelia .... you wanna talk about fitness, gym, clean eating, body positive and ufc.... shes your girl.
@dizziemisslizzie in her new upcoming set still work in progress. Things got slown down with all the work and holidays but im on it. It will be grand. We actually met at xmas party at mutual friends. I guess we hangout with all the cool cats.
Now for what 2017 will be filled with
first things first... im going scuba diving in honduras for 16 days, in 16 days. Im stocked!!!
Ok for photography this year... im thowing a shootfest in vancouver around the end of march. Another shootfest in edmonton around the same dates as the blackheart burlesque (waiting for sg to release the tour dates so i can start planning). Another summer shootfest in vancouver but this time a few girls from edmonton are supposed to do the trip to van so we can shoot even more radness. Then im flying to toronto in august for a shootfest, followed by ottawa and montreal...... that one will be more than rad.
Montreal is MY town!! Thats where im from (ish-i lived there from 14 to 32). So this year i decided to make it big. Im not just throwing a weekend shootfest... im throwing a week shootfest with multiple location with a bunch of locals and some american beauties will do the flight to come and shoot some magic. I dont even have the words to explain all the awesomeness that will happen on that week. And im keeping it a surprise for you all. But let me tell you it will be grand. And gotta thank @noel and @bae to help me with all this organisation.
