guess what i got today? i am putting pics on here of him...
i'm not so sure about the kitten/s anymore, joe. two pets right now might be too much. this was a very spontaneous thing. i went to my friend jen's house and when i got there i was like "whoa, you guys got a new dog?" and jen's like, "no he just showed up one day and we've been trying to either find his owners or find him a new home." i didn't put any thought into it until a few hours later. we started talking about it again and i was like "hey, i could take him home. try it out." and they were like THAT'S A GREAT IDEA. so i'm giving him a week. if something happens or i can't do it for some reason, they said they'd take him back. i made sure of that. but in case they can't take him back or whatever, i can also do that animal rescue league thing. he's a great dog and they'll have no trouble finding a good home for him! i really hope it works out though. he's such a sweetie. the only problem - he didn't have tags when they found him so i don't know what his name is. they called him Buster but I don't like that name. he shall learn a new one mwahaha...
i hope he has no problems adjusting. i walked him around outside for about 20 minutes, he went #1 and #2 (good boy!) and stuff. then i walked him around inside with the leash on, showed him all the rooms and let him sniff them out. then i went back outside for a second, and came back in for good, shut the door and let him roam free. he kinda just plopped on the kitchen floor. i gave him a little water and he drank it gladly. and now i'm on here and he's just chilling on the floor next to me. so cute! i'm excited to have a sleeping buddy! he shall have a bath tomorrow though, cause when he first got to their house they had him sleep on the porch the first night, and he got sprayed by a skunk he doesn't reek but his face is still a wee bit stinky. this is so exciting though!!! *does a little dance*
a) do you have a cat/dog/both/neither?
b) what should I name my new boy?
c) should i keep it on the DL and just not tell my landlady (whose office is 2 cities over, and she manages tons of buildings), or should i make it official and get written permission (like the lease says we're supposed to do)? when we moved in she said "the right pet for the right person" but i'm afraid i'm not going to be the "right person" in her eyes. and we were told by other people in the building that we could probably get by with having a pet. because they have had like snakes and cats and stuff, and they never knew. i'm gonna try it out. we'll see. i'll keep ya posted!
soooo happy, i finally have a doggie of my own!

B) Not knowing his personality (since that usually what I base my pet names on) how about toad...
C) Let her know... my mom used to have rental property and she was typically cool with it if they told her...
